Students have the opportunity to appear for annual certification exams conducted through this board. These exams are held under the guidance of certified and experienced instructors, and successful candidates are awarded nationally recognized certificates in Tabla.
- Certification Levels: From Prarambhik (beginner) to Sangeet Visharad (advanced)
- Co-ordination, Guidance & Exam Preparation provided as part of regular classes
In addition to academic certification: TablaGyan also provides strong letters of recommendation and portfolio support in the field of Music and Theatre for students applying to top global universities, helping them pursue higher studies or arts-based careers.
18. How is the learning progress tracked?
At TablaGyan, every session is a learning opportunity — not a test. We don’t believe in rigid evaluations or pressure-driven exams. Instead, music is deeply infused into each student’s being, in a way that inspires rather than instructs, and pulls rather than pushes. “We don’t test the student. We let the music test itself within the student.”
- Regular reviews, guided practice lessons, and personalized feedback are part of the journey
- A structured yet fluid learning process and methodology ensures students learn with depth and clarity
- In-house Music Baithaks and Stage performances provide real-world experience, followed by critical one-on-one feedback by the teacher to the student
These performances often act as a game-changer in the student’s musical evolution — transforming them from learners to artists, and from practice players to performers. Learning at TablaGyan is not about passing an exam. It's about passing a milestone — within yourself. 🎶
19. What will be my learning journey like at TablaGyan?
At TablaGyan, we believe in a sincere, structured, and immersive approach to learning the art of Tabla. Every musically curious soul who joins our academy is welcomed into a journey that is not only enriching but also deeply transformational. In the long run, TablaGyan believes in “Play the Music, Not the Instrument.!”, because we focus on nurturing musicality beyond just the technique. We believe that learning without application is incomplete. That’s why our academy follows the unique L.E.A.P. methodology – Learn, Enjoy, Apply, and Perform – a holistic approach that shapes students into confident and expressive artists. Along this journey, we emphasize the 3Ds essential to mastering any art form – Discipline, Dedication, and Determination – and ensure these values are deeply ingrained in every learner.
